Sitting Area

My dad was awfully concerned at the last post and the lack of space for a bed in front of the fireplace.

So, I figured I'd show a small peek of the area free of the boxes.  Still not done, but a step closer.

Living room

I'll probably post periodic updates on the house. 

I closed on December 12th, and moved in on the 19th.  I had these grand intentions of packing December 6th-12th (the week I returned from China), however, I was smoking crack.  I did absolutely nothing that week.  I was exhausted, but couldn't sleep, and packing was completely beyond my ability. 

Unfortunately, that meant I was packing the week after closing instead of painting as I had intended.

So I moved in with the house still in the brown color palette.

I had boxes everywhere, but I managed to paint anyway, and only made a slight disaster of it.

I haven't written a single thing in about a year now, and I'm not sure anyone even still reads this, but just in case anyone still does...

I'm buying a house!!

I have excellent timing, I'm leaving for China in a month, and decided I needed the extra levels of stress in my life.  But I fell in love with this house the second I saw it and it felt like home the minute I stepped inside.  I knew I wanted it to be mine.

I'm hoping the whole mortgage process and everything else isn't too awful.

But isn't it pretty?
